Kick your french-fry consumption up a notch with these fancy (yet deceptively easy) avocado frites. Ground flaxseeds and hemp seeds provide a pleasing and nutrient-rich crunch for a side dish that gives us yet another reason to love the green pitted fruit. You might not want to share this oven-baked finger food!

Ingredients
- 2 large ripe avocados, peeled, pitted, and sliced
- 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 tsp. sea salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 cup Barlean's organic ground flaxseeds
- 1/4 cup hemp seeds
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. In a shallow bowl, drizzle avocado slices with olive oil. Sprinkle slices with sea salt and pepper, then coat with flaxseeds, hemp seeds, and crushed red pepper.
3. Transfer avocado slices on a baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes.
4. Remove from oven; set aside for 5 minutes before serving.
